The Planet of Possibilities
I’ve called this series ‘The Planet of Possibilities’ because I believe humanity will survive only if we open our eyes to the forms of beauty that exist all around us, including our complex interactions with each other, and in the possibilities that come with heightened creativity.
The interplay of human and natural beauty is immeasurable, and unique; the moments we might see as beautiful, and what we can do with those discoveries, are endless. That’s why we continue to make art in these uncertain times, why we embrace it: to broaden our imagination about what life on Earth is, and still can be, on this tiny speck of rock and water. To capture these moments is photography’s gift to the fragile planet we live on.
All the images from ‘The Planet of Possibilities’ exhibition, presented in a beautiful red suede-finish boxed set with magnetic clasp. Numbered edition of 30 only. Reproduced on German archival-quality paper, each of these 21 prints measures 21 x 15cms. There are four colour images and 17 black-and-white, plus the exhibition poster and catalogue. Each box is individually signed by the photographer Tony Maniaty. A unique and thoughtful gift for Christmas.

“As a filmmaker, what appeals to me is Tony Maniaty’s ability to create a powerful narrative in every image, to tell an entire story in a single frame. His use of composition and light to convey that is remarkable. Like a great movie, you return to these photographs over and over again."
“You know someone has ‘an eye’ for photography when they see a great shot in something that everyone else walks past. Tony Maniaty has that sixth sense. Subject, composition, shade, light - all important, but his photos have that extra element, an empathy that draws you into the moment...”
“A great photographer. His images don’t just capture moments in time, they crystallise the very emotional essence of those moments. Tony Maniaty's images are elegant, understated, memorable.”
